Who am I?
I am a mother to many, but I have only given birth to three sons. At quarantine, I am a wife crossing the twenty-year anniversary milestone. I am a sister to three, but our differences keep us questioning the gene pool. I am a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and soon to be a great-great-grandmother. I am a Godmother and Dress Fairy to a once lovely little lady who is now a college freshman.
I am a Christian. My career with Christ began as a teenager, serving cookies at Sunday School and assisting teachers with their students. Over time, I have helped build church nursery programs and teach bible study classes, and now I work to pass on the knowledge of salvation to the next generation whenever I can.
I am a cat person. Cats have been in my life, all my life. I am an avid reader. Stephen King has been on my reading list since he burst into the literary world, and I can quote his characters almost as well as my bible. My reading habits have led to many sleepless nights, consumed by characters driven by greed, espionage, and a potpourri of authors featuring detectives and agents with quirky personalities, all at my fingertips via E or audio book and YouTube.
I am an artist. And it shows up in my cooking, my gardening, and the organic soaps and body butter I make and Excel projects I develop design to ease the suffering of data handy-capped individuals. There are few things as beautiful as herb-encrusted Cornish hens with mushroom sauce fresh from the oven. Or training a cucumber vine to grow and intertwine within rose bushes. Or my camera capturing God given sunrises and sunsets. It is a lovely sight to peel patchouli-scented soaps from rose-shaped candy molds. And sometimes my artistic vision gets poured into making invitations and knitting baby blankets. But the best thing is when I pour out writing sessions like this.
You are the love of my life. Live long and prosper.
